My top 10 cities I want to visit in 2019! ✈️

2019 will be a great year, looking forward to lots of happiness, love, and personal growth. I plan to travel as much as I can and as much as my vacation days at work allow me. We’ve already started planning for some vacations, so they’ll be included in the list as well. So here’s my top 10 cities I want to visit in 2019 in no order whatsoever.

  1. New York – when it’s warmer, probably sometime in the summer. I’ve only been in December, so I would love to see Central Park in all its beauty in the summer time. And we’ll we’re in NY, I would want to go see Niagara Falls because I saw it as a kid, but my husband never has been
  2. Mexico or Dominican Republic – my mom wants all of us to go together (the families) so that should be fun
  3. Chicago – in the summer because that’s the best time to go. Lots more you can do when it’s warmer outside like swim in the lake, visit rooftop restaurants, etc.,
  4. Bosnia – we really want to go visit our mainland, but I don’t know if it’s feasible this year with my vacation days. It would be great to see my grandparents and introduce my husband to my family whom he’s never met before
  5. Seattle – we want to go for a couple days in the summer since we were there in the fall time. And this time, we wouldn’t just stay a day! It would be more like 3-4 days which gives us time to explore more of the city and hangout with friends
  6. This will be a placeholder for our honeymoon – we don’t know where we want to go yet, but we’re definitely planning to go in 2019
  7. Los Angeles – have been applying to win Ellen tickets again like I did that one time, but I wasn’t able to go. I heard she was retiring in a year, so I want to go before she stops doing the Ellen show. We went to LA over 5 years ago, so I’d love to go back and explore it better than I did the first time (and visit Santa Barbara <3)
  8.  Yellowstone National Park – this is on my list for sure! This one would take a lot of planning
  9. Miami – I kind of want to go here for my birthday this year, just a weekend would be nice. My birthday falls on a Thursday, so I could just go for 3-4 days and it would be fun! I still need to plan for Mirhad’s birthday, we’re trying this thing where we just go visit somewhere for our birthdays instead of staying at home! His is on a Friday, so it’s much easier to take off 1 day of vacation days and go somewhere for 3 days
  10. Lake Tahoe – my mom REALLY wants to go here next summer too. We had a lot of fun there in 2016 and she wants us all to go again including my husbands parens. I think it’s a great idea and Lake Tahoe is such a beautiful place

I really hope I can visit all of these awesome places because trust me, a girl needs a vacation multiple times a year especially when you work all the time! So here’s hoping we all get to visit the places we have planned to visit in 2019! ✈️✈️✈️

Are you guys planning on going anywhere in 2019?? Let me know! 🙂

West Coast Road Trip Pt.2: Seattle!

So when we finally made it to Seattle, it was about 9:30ish. Irhad came to pick us up and the first thing we did was go find a place to grab some quick food. Mirhad ended up finding a place called Dick’s Drive-in and it was pretty good. We got 2 burgers, fries, and a shake. The shake was delicious. We headed back to Irhad’s house and literally got straight into bed because we just traveled for 6 hours.

The next morning, we woke up and everyone had gone to work so we thought of some things to do until 5pm. We found this yummy breakfast place and headed towards it as soon as we got ready, but not without a couple selfies first 🙂

So we got to this place, I can’t remember the name, but I have this photo of what I got there!

It was soooooo delicious! Mirhad got Eggs Benedict with a side of hashbrowns and salmon inside. I’ve never tried Eggs Benedict before, but it was really good! After that, we had one of Mirhad’s friends from college pick us up and we drove around for a couple of hours. We went to some park, went downtown to see some scenery, stopped at a coffee shop, and then headed back to the house.

So after we got back to the house, there was no way in and Irhad wouldn’t come back home for like another 2 hours. We decided to get an Uber and go chill at a Starbucks. The first one we went to was OKAY, but then it got super sketchy when I stepped outside to run into Walgreens next door. That’s when we looked up the area and realized that this isn’t the BEST place to be lol. So we called another Uber and went back to the Starbucks that was close to where we got breakfast. We just stayed there until Irhad got off work and picked us up. After that, we just chilled for an hour and headed out to dinner.

You can see the first picture where I was annoying Mirhad as he was trying to sneak in a nap lol. We went to a yummy place for dinner and the waitress heard it was Mirhad’s birthday the next day and gave him a pecan cheesecake (I think that’s what it was). After we were done with dinner, we went to see the very first Starbucks ever made which was cool, it was so interesting compared to the others. And then we went down to the gum wall which was nasty, but cool.  I don’t have pics, but I did have a video. We didn’t stay out too late as we had a flight to catch the next morning so we had to be up by 4am!

Tried to catch the mountains, but it was too cloudy the whole time we were there. Couldn’t even see Mt. Rainier, but maybe next time 🙂

So next, we headed out to San Fransisco which will be all in the next post!!! 🙂

West Coast Road Trip Pt.1: The start!

Hi there!

Finally getting started on my travel post! So I wanted to make a post for every city we visited because putting everything into one post would be wayyyy too much. This one will be all about the start.

I went to work that day (it was a Tuesday) and came home as soon as I was done with one of my last meetings before 11:30. I left as soon as I was done and started getting ready. I still needed to shower and pack a few more things like my camera battery that was charging overnight. We had to leave to get to the airport by 12:50-1 and we left around 12:15 (lol what’s new tho). So we finally got to the airport, had no trouble with TSA and that’s when our trip started. I recorded some things – I would post on here, but I don’t think I can. I will make a whole video and post the link later tho 🙂

So the next couple of things will just be some pictures I took during the time we were waiting for our flight and when we got to Dallas waiting for our flight to Seattle.

The first three photos are waiting at our airport and finally getting to our seats. Then flying and landing in Dallas. We tried some sourdough grilled cheese and we came to the conclusion that we both don’t like sourdough so we didn’t finish the sandwich lol. It was very cheesy though and looked soooo good. Then you can see that we got back onto the plane heading towards Seattle. The sky was so beautiful before it got dark, wish I could go back to this moment and watch again 🙂

So I was already saying our trip has begun when we arrived to the airport, but of course it really began when we landed in Seattle. Next post will be a BUNCH of pictures so get ready! 🙂

Updates, updates, & more updates!

Good morning!!!

Happy October guys!!!!! Fall is finally here!!!! 😀 😀 😀 My favorite season is fall, so I’m all about this. Bring on the chilly weather!

I am finally back from my trip, but still not settled back in. Working from home today, this will give me a chance to wash some laundry and clean up in between.

Update: I wrote this and then had a couple of meetings and in between I managed to make breakfast, clean the living room, clean the kitchen, and tidy up where needed. So now that I finally finished all of that, I can sit down and blog. I have one last meeting from 2-3pm and then after that I’ll work on some more stuff from work.

I have to blog about my trip, but it might take a while because I have to transfer over a bunch of the pictures from my camera. I am super excited to write about it, it was seriously so much fun. A lot of driving, but totally worth it. Next time, I will for sure spend 2-3 days in one place instead of just 1 so I can relax too. My brain is still in vacation mode, so I need to get back to reality. Is it too early to start planning our next trip tho??? LOL. That reminds me, I need to see how many vacation days I have now since I just used 3 days!

Ok so I won’t start planning this anytime soon obviously…. but we mentioned going to Colorado to ski/sled with our parents in the winter, so that would be something I’d like to look out for. Of course, I’d have to confirm their vacations days and whatever, but something cheap would be nice. Don’t think we’d be able to afford Aspen, so maybe there’s another alternative. If you’ve been anywhere sledding/skiing in CO that’s not super expensive, please let me know! 🙂

I wrote a huge to-do list for this week, it’s just a mixture of things I want to get done. #1 priority is to clean out the garage, spray it down, and make the gym so we can work out before work/school in the morning. Especially when nicer weather is getting here, it would be amazing to work out before work and not have to drive to the gym.

My featured photo is one I took in Seattle drinking coffee – well my husband took it and from that point I told him he is in charge of taking pics like this hahaha. It’s so cute, so I was like dude we need more of these!!!

Okay, vacation/travel post will be coming soon, till then just hear me babble about my life 🙂

See ya! 🙂

Quick update! 🌿

Good morning!!

Writing this quick little update! My flight is around 3 so I don’t have much time for anything, but I thought I’d sit down and write about what’s going on.

So we are leaving for our trip today, we’ll be in Seattle tonight woohoo! Last night I packed for 2 hours (late) and seriously next time I’m packing 5 days in advance because that was stressful lol. Hopefully I packed everything I needed, if not then oh well I’ll buy it over there. Last weekend was crazy busy, we did yard work everyday. I’ll post some picture when I’m back to show how I redid the front flower box in front of our house. It took a lot of work, but it looks much better now. I think I can find a before pic somewhere, too.

I probably won’t blog at all during the next 5-6 days since I don’t think I’ll even have time to sit. I feel like we probably won’t even sleep forreal because there’s so much to do in so little time! So there will deff be a couple blog posts probably about each place we visit so I’m excited for that 🙂 right now I need to go take a quick body shower and get dressed because we leave to go to the airport in like 45 to an hour so I am running low on time.

Went to work this morning and then got back around 11 to work from home. Drinking a cup of coffee right now so I can get some energy because I can never sleep the day before a trip because of excitement. Just like first day of school back then in like middle school, was so excited the night before I couldn’t even sleep! Ah, I just got nostalgic lol. Reminding me of the days where we’d be waiting at the bus stop and it’s a little dewey outside early in the morning. Aw, miss those days!

Okay well really quick update, I’ll post photos maybe on my instagram.

See ya later! 🙂

Thursday & what I’ve been doing!

Good morning!

Have been MIA since Monday lol, but I’m back. I’m working from home, drinking a cup of TEA – not coffee, and I am sick. Mirhad and I are both sick which sucks. I think I caught something from work and him (he was sick first) because we have similar, but different symptoms. I have a sore throat with a runny nose and a huge headache, he has a stuffy nose and kind of a sore throat. Well wait, now that I think about it, our symptoms are pretty similar hahaha. So yeah, I am sitting here waiting for my meeting, drinking my chamomile tea. If you’ve never had chamomile tea, you need to try it! It’s delicious and always makes me feel better just because of the smell.

I made a to-do list for today, but who knows if I’ll even have the energy to do any of it. I still need to clean my car and we need to cut the grass and clean up the yard. I would say let’s save it for Saturday because it’ll be less hot outside, but Mirhad has an essay he has to do, so he may say let’s do it and end up not doing it. Our grass is SUPER tall, it grows like crazy. Seriously, I feel like everyone else can go 3-4 weeks without cutting it and it still looks fine and ours grows after like 1-2 weeks lol.

My parents came back from Europe late Tuesday night and they brought all kinds of stuff – some presents from family members and of course Chipsy (chips) and my favorite chocolate bars 😀 made my day.

Going to for sure plan out my outfits this weekend and pack. I can’t believe the trip is 5 days away! Time passes by so fast, but I hope it slows down for our trip 🙂

That’s all for now, bye! 🙂

What I’m doing & what’s ahead! 🌻

Good morning!

Yesterday we went to get carry-on suitcases from Marshall’s and I ended up buying a really cute mug that says “Hello Fall” on it. It’s actually really big, I selected more coffee on the Keurig and it only got to halfway 😂 I also noticed this is the same mug my favorite Youtuber Casey Holmes bought the other day too!!! So I thought that was cool!

So currently I am finishing up that cup of coffee. I feel good, I feel great. Woke up at 7:50 this morning and logged into work and I am now balancing my work stuff with blogging. The other day I bought Anastasia dip brow, I usually never do my eyebrows unless someone else does it for me for an event, but I’ve decided to learn myself so that I can fill mine in a little better. Maybe it’ll complete my makeup look, hopefully I don’t look scary lol.

Today, Mirhad has to catch up on homework or I should say use this time to get ahead. He has an exam on Monday and then like 2 papers due after that and one of them is due on the 26th when we are in Seattle, so he’s going to have to finish that before. His teacher changed it last minute of course, but we aren’t cancelling our trip for that hahaha.

We have a wedding to go to this weekend, but aside from that I’m going to be using this weekend to plan my outfits for the trip and plan pretty much everything so I am not doing it last minute like my trip to Dallas where I packed my clothes when I came from work 😂 We also need to deep clean the house this weekend so we don’t have to do that right before we leave.

I was thinking about doing some yard work today, maybe cleaning out the weeds from my flowers up front and getting rid of any flowers that died. I am so bad at watering my flowers lol, but I swear I’ll get better especially now that it’s not scorching hot outside!

I need to book a nail appointment for next week, I am thinking about either doing black gel nails or a nude color. I am really feeling the black nails since it’s fall and it won’t get bad during my trip. About to get on Pinterest and just look for some more ideas!

I think that’s it for now, see ya! 🙂

Tuesday morning + updates!

Hi there!

It’s almost noon and I am having my first cup of coffee. Work started at 7:45am this morning (WFH) and I didn’t need coffee that early for energy, I’m surprised! I mean I don’t even need it right now for energy, I just love coffee lol.

Yesterday, we went to the gym at 6am and so we woke up at 5:45am which was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do in a while. Waking up at 6 for work is hard enough, but that 15 mins early than usual was horrible lol. BUT I do have to say that I did feel better throughout the day and I wasn’t really tired. It’s much easier to go to the gym earlier when I am WFH, but on the days I have to go into the office it’s tricky because I like to go in at 7:30 so like when would I even make time to get ready + eat + go to the gym?! It would be crammed, so I think on those days we’ll just work out after work/school.

We have been trying to get into the routine of working out daily, for multiple reasons of course, but mainly to get our heart pumping and blood running through our veins! Hopefully we can keep it going, it’s really hard to get into a routine, but anyone can do it!

I made a to-do list for today and I am trying to keep it small otherwise I probably won’t get everything done. The good thing is that I can just move it to tomorrow and it’ll get done 🙂

Our trip is pretty much done planning with the flights/cars/where we’re staying parts. The only thing left to do for me is to write it out in my notebook so it’s all laid out in front of me and I know what’s going on. Today I am going to go look at carry on suitcases for us – we literally only own one suitcase and my mom borrowed it for her trip to Bosnia. So we need 2 since this trip is 5 days long and I just want to bring my own stuff. We usually can fit both of our stuff together, but oh well.. what if we go to DSW in Dallas (the best) and buy some more shoes (LOL Mirhad) like where are we going to fit them if we don’t have two suitcases?! 😜

I also need to return my diffuser because it’s way too big. I liked the old one I had, but I gave it to my sister – she still needs to buy essential oils for it since I took mine with me. This one is good because of the size, but it’s too much work flipping it upside down to remove the water and add the essential oils. Before I just opened the top and added it – simple. So I am going to look for another one today too.

Hmm, what else?? On Sunday, we had the BEST weather so far. I got to open up all of the windows and the breeze was so nice. It’s pretty much going to be in the 70’s for the next 2 weeks, except maybe like 2 days where it’s mid 80’s. But I’m not complaining, this weather is great! Trying to convince Mirhad for us to exercise outside today by playing soccer or something just so we can enjoy the weather (if you’re reading this Mirhad, plz let’s go). 😀

See ya! 🙂
